Another reason for stopping by Fox Street in Albion was the popular little cheese shop recommended to me by Tomcat. Situated right next to Vieille Branche, I headed in during my very short wait for food.
Inside were a vast array of cheeses, ranging from the very soft Bries to the hard Pecorinos some locally sourced and some imported. Fortunately I had done my research and the decision wasn't hard to make.
We got a small tub of Cremeux De Bourgogne with Truffle, which is a French Brie sourced from Burgundy, which we ate like savages with all but a wooden knife to help us cut it up. We found it to be deliciously rich and creamy with a considerable amount of truffle to add taste and flavour to the cheese. Between the two of us, we finished the whole piece within the afternoon, savouring every last piece.
