Caught up with a friend for a quick dinner the other week and we decided to try out Satay Boss at Market Square. Like the other stores in the area, we ordered at the counter and had to grab a seat in the communal dining area. There was a considerable line at Satay Boss but luckily it wasn't too hot.
The main attractions were fried chicken and satay which was grilling in the window, but other than that there were also a selection of Malaysian curries and meat dishes to go with rice. Prices were reasonable and service is efficient.
Between the two of us, we had quite a few dishes to share. The satay skewers were fantastic with a nice charred exterior and a juicy moist centre, the sauce was just spicy enough for me to tolerate with a strong peanut taste to it. I liked the fried chicken which was also crisp and moist, it went well with the fried rice. We also had a small serve of fried tofu to share, this was good and crisp, going well with a small amount of sweet chilli sauce. The stir fried morning glory was also garlic-y and flavoursome.
