Two Peck - Sunnybank

As a self proclaimed fried chicken enthusiast, readers will know that despite the popularity of Korean Fried Chicken, Taiwanese Fried Chicken will always be my undisputed favourite. Having worked really hard at the gym one evening, I decided to expend my calorie deficit on the inconspicuous Two Peck, which had opened last year outside of High Fresh.

At roughly 8pm, the store wasn't too busy and seating was limited. Menu options were similar to hot star, but there were a few more options for seasoning, which I definitely took advantage of (hint: garlic salt is irresistible).

It took about 15 minutes for our order to be ready. Despite the wait, it's good to know that our orders are freshly made.

Trying out the chicken fillet with garlic salt, I find the batter to be far crispier but far thicker than hot star. The meat is also a lot firmer and drier too. The garlic salt was fragrant but not over bearing, and Adam likes this chicken more than hot star, I respectfully dissent.

Wanting another side to share, we also had the Crispy Prawn Skewer with chicken salt. The batter is lighter and crispier than the chicken, almost like a tempura batter. Chicken salt is undeniably yummy and we both really enjoy it.
