Betty's Burgers - Brisbane CBD

Had a busy day at a food festival with Adam in the early afternoon which tempered our appetite for dinner. Not wanting to skip the whole meal outright, we wanted to grab something light and easy to ensure we weren't peckish late in evening, so we decided to take a walk down the riverside to the Betty's Burgers along Howard Smith Wharves.

The venue was packed that day and we had to wait a while to be served.

As with all chains, the menu was the same as what we had previously at their Newstead store.

Ordering at the counter, there was an abundance of seating outside and inside. We ended up with some outside seating which was thankfully still under cover.

Grabbing a pear cider and a buzzer, we waited for our food, but rather than picking it up at the counter when our buzzer went off, our waitress went and got it for us, which was a nice touch.

In the end we settled on a Betty's Double with a side of fries to share.

Shoestring fries were as always very enjoyable, these especially so as they were only lightly salted. We enjoyed the bun which was fluffy and squishy much like the milk buns from charboys. The patties were crumbly and complemented well with the melty cheese, we also liked the bacon which was generous in portion and well caramelised. The only thing which would have improved our experience was a bit of lettuce or tomato for some extra freshness.
