Wushiland Boba - Sunnybank Hills

Late night bubble tea runs are always great. It's especially awesome now that there's one that opened near my gym, so that I can drink back all the calories I lost after every work out. With apparently quite a cult following internationally, it was the first one to open in Brisbane and we were keen to check it out.

Operating at the outside perimeter of Calamvale Central meant that it didn't need to close when the inside area of the centre had closed. The store was fairly big but there were no seats available. The menu, projected on a screen offered quite a few flavoured teas, milk teas, lattes and fruit drinks.

Grabbing two drinks to go, I had the warm milk tea and Adam had the pearl milk tea. Mine was sufficiently warm and definitely not hot. The texture of the drink reminded me of bubble teas I had tasted in Taiwan which were made using milk powder rather than fresh milk. Adam was a little sad that the mini pearls had sold out before we got there, but he settled with standard pearls. He did mention that he found the tea flavours a little artificial compared to our usual. Guess its best we stuck with our usuals at Sunnybank.
