La Macelleria Gelateria - Teneriffe

Went to try the highly popular gelato at La Macelleria Gelateria with the Tomcat family after grabbing pizza at Beccofino at Teneriffe. There was no better way to round off an Italian meal than with proper Italian Gelato, which was luckily only a couple hundred metres away. Arriving at about 7.30, it was reasonably busy, with quite a few seats having been taken, but most customers ordered takeaway and left anyway.

Unlike most gelaterias which have their gelatos on display (e.g. gelatissimo), La Macelleria's were all hidden within silver canisters, with the menu presented up top with a selection of gelato and sorbet.

On top of that there were also a selection of ice cream cakes which looked really appealing and will have to make a point to try sometime.

Between the three of us, we had two cups of three flavours to share. My favourites for the night would definitely have to be the coffee and tiramisu flavours which were rich and creamy whilst maintaining strong coffee flavours without being overly sweet. I really enjoyed it.
