Orange Tea - Sunnybank

From my travels throughout Taiwan, there was barely a time when my hands were not full with either a drink or food of some kind. Being the person that I am, of course this lead to multiple lost opportunities where I would of course opt for my favourite of the day and lose the chance to try new things which I would no doubt have enjoyed. Such was the case for Orange Tea, which I had spied quite a few times around Taipei, but never gone as Coco held my complete and unwavering attention. Seeing it open in Sunny Park, I took the opportunity to check it out after dinner with the Tomcat Family last week.

Being situated outside of the centre, it was open quite late in the evening. Whilst some may have passed it off as being just another bubble tea place, I quite appreciated its niche in the market, specialising in fruity teas, whilst still doing some milk teas (but noticeably no coffee).

Ordering at the counter, I got the standard loyalty card, this time it was one free for every five purchases, which was not too bad.

We grabbed one of the limited seats, and our order was called quite soon.

Between the three of us, Tomcat had the Passionfruit QQ Jasmine Tea since he adores his artificial drinks and this was the most artificial on the menu (as an indication of how natural the rest of the drinks were). Mrs Tomcat had the healthy 6 fruits tea, whilst I tried the signature One Orange Tea. Having had a quite mediocre experience with fruit teas at C Fruit Life, I wasn't expecting too much here, but the One Orange Tea really impressed me with its how refreshing it was and its light sweetness, which I really enjoyed. For reference, it did actually have a whole orange in it, and the juices were infused in the delicious green tea.

Other than the teas, we also had a two scoop ice cream to share. Normally, I wouldn't have been too interested, but the flavours of earl grey and smokey oolong were too good to pass. Unfortunately though, the tea flavours of the ice cream were overpowered by the extremely sugary tastes. Texture wise, it was also average. At least it satisfied my curiosity though.
