After an unusual turn of events one Friday afternoon, I happened to find myself at the Boom Boom Room after work, after walking through some pretty torrential rain with Adam. The whole place was unbelievably packed, and pulsing with loud music. Lining up to the counter, there didn't seem to be a menu (which I didn't find till later), other people appeared to just be ordering fairly standard drinks too.
The bartender was very skilled and knowledgeable, watching her make the drinks was a show on its own.
We had three drinks to share between us.
His pick was the What a wonderful world mocktail made with seedlip. It was a very grassy concoction which had a very herbal natural scent to it from the scented hay whilst the mint and lime kept it fresh. Haven't tried anything like it before and would be keen to get another.
After trying a Sidecar at Atelier, I was definitely keen to have another. This was wonderfully citrusy with strong flavours of orange. Lined with sugar, it was the perfect sweet treat.
Never one to miss out on an opportunity to have an espresso martini. Without a doubt, this was one of the stronger one's I've had without being too sweet. I really enjoyed it.
